Al Shirawi Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Thor Middle East LLC and TMEA FZCO

Thor is an established business based in Dubai, supplying Cranes, Skip loaders and Hook loaders, Tail Lifts, Aerial Platforms, Bin Washers, and related products and services in the region. We are excited to add these to our Al Shirawi Equipment product portfolio. Thor is the Exclusive Regional distributor for Hiab Cranes, Multilift, Zepro, Movex, and Socage Aerial Platforms, TECME Bin Washers, Transcover covering systems, VPG weighing systems, and a number of other European equipment manufacturers, with years of track record in this market.

We are happy to announce that we now will be able to serve you, our important customer, in a much better way through the combined strength of THOR and Al Shirawi. Together with “ATLAS” trailers, bodies a and Thor products and service organization, we are well placed to expand our offering and support to you as our highly valued customers in a much better and stronger way. With Thor, we have bridged the only gaps we had in our quest to become an end-to-end solution provider to our Waste Management customers.

This acquisition will go a long way in establishing us as a supplier of premium, reliable equipment to this industry. In addition, we will lead with the motto of “ Service First” with the support of the service team and build the business with customer satisfaction as our primary objective.

Naveed Naqshbandi, a professional who started his Dubai career with Al Shirawi Group in 1996, having 25 years of Waste Management and Construction Equipment Sales and business management experience, has been appointed General Manager of Thor and will take over the day to day running of THOR from Greger Jacobson, in addition to his existing responsibility for Waste Management line of business at Al Shirawi.

Keeping in mind the focus on SERVICE, PARTS, and TRAINING, Naveen Kaniyal who brings with him years of top-notch experience is appointed head of these functions to provide “TOTAL SOLUTIONS” to customers.

Thor office and workshop will be shifted to the Al Shirawi facility in Al Quoz about one kilometer away from the current Thor location for better operational effectiveness. This transition will not impact any of Thor or Al Shirawi Equipment Co. commitments and will be done in a phased
manner. Details and timing of this move will be communicated as our integration process proceeds.
